SAVAGE 2026 represents the most significant upgrade to our lighting packages in over a decade. Over the past six months we’ve rebuilt our vehicle kits from the ground up — introducing new lighting technology, redesigning how equipment is deployed on set, and refining the tools we use to deliver results faster and more efficiently.
Modern productions demand more with fewer resources. Crews are smaller, schedules are tighter, and expectations for image quality are higher than ever. The SAVAGE 2026 upgrade was built specifically to meet those realities — giving productions access to more output, more control, and faster deployment without increasing crew size.
The result is lighting packages that allow us to move faster, shape light more precisely, and maintain the same trusted SAVAGE workflow that productions have relied on for over 15 years.

Our Equipment
To make sure your shoot runs smoothly, our Vehicles are fully loaded with only the most trusted brands. All SAVAGE gear is regularly maintained by our full time team at the warehouse to minimise the risk on any equipment failures on set. Hiring our warehouse team full time also allows us to be able to support a production if they need anything from us.

SAVAGE is Melbourne’s only Lighting and Gripping company to have established a fully staffed office. Our Team is always on call for whatever you need. The Team’s goal is to lower your stress levels by managing the basic aspects of your project’s lighting requirements, and making sure you’re always kept in the loop about your job’s progress.
Scalability is our secret weapon. We build relationships with production that allows our Team to scale up or down our services to meet the job’s specific requirements. Establishing these strong connections with our customers grants them greater flexibility and leverage when employing our services.
SAVAGE doesn’t just work on Short Form jobs to fill in the gaps between long form projects, we’re dedicated to short form. We love TVC’s, Content Shoots, Music Videos and everything in between. We have built our business around supplying our services to short form projects and understand what is required to ensure that the project is completed on time, on spec and on budget.

When we say we have a small van, we mean it. SAVAGE Film Services has Melbourne’s only Small Lighting van that comes in at just 2.05m height in its standard mode, or 1.9m in it’s ultra low profile mode (12 hours notice required). With a minimum height of 1.9m, there really is no carpark this van can’t enter.
