7. Overtime, Penalties & Travel
Penalty and travel structures used by SAVAGE Film Services are based on, and broadly aligned with, the MEAA Motion Picture Production Agreement (MPPA), with simplified application for practical use.
Overtime and penalties may apply depending on shoot length, day type, time of day, and travel requirements.
Under MEAA screen industry agreements, travel beyond a designated 25km radius from Melbourne GPO is considered time worked.
All time spent travelling outside this radius is treated as working time. In addition, all kilometres travelled beyond this radius attract an allowance to cover fuel / energy costs, vehicle wear and tear, and depreciation.
For a full breakdown of overtime rates, loadings, and travel charges, please visit www.savagefilmservices.com.au/penalties.
8. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing safe working conditions and appropriate access to all shooting locations.
The client is also responsible for any parking fees, tolls, permits, or associated location costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The client may be held responsible for damage, loss, or additional cost arising from unsafe conditions, negligence, or direction by client crew, talent, or third parties.
9. Risk & Liability
SAVAGE Film Services retains control of all equipment at all times.
Clients are responsible for damage or loss resulting from unsafe conditions, negligence, or direction by client personnel, crew, talent, or third parties engaged by the client.
10. Acceptance
Clients are required to confirm acceptance of a quote prior to production. This can be done by approving the quote via the provided online approval link or by confirming acceptance in writing via email.
If a client proceeds with a booking, engages SAVAGE Film Services on a shoot, or continues to work based on any written communication regarding rates (including but not limited to quotes, emails, or messages), this will constitute acceptance of the most recent terms, rates, and scope provided, regardless of whether formal approval has been submitted.
Proceeding with a booking denotes the client’s understanding and acceptance of the quoted scope, pricing structure, applicable discounts, penalties, and these Terms & Conditions.
Where there is any ambiguity or conflicting communication relating to scope, inclusions, or rates, the most recent written communication issued by SAVAGE Film Services shall prevail.
